The Whole Church; A People Without Blemish
Ephesians 5:27 He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.Whole Church…
This is my sincere concern this day for the body of Christ…..
Jesus is not coming for a confused bride, He is not coming for a bride that is neither hot nor cold. Jesus is coming for a bride without blemish, a bride that is gorgeously dressed up, a bride that is in charge, a bride that is not polluted.
Jesus’ interaction with that woman in the Gospel according to St. Mathew chapter 15 verse 22-24 brings up some valid points about who we are and the perspective from which we should operate from.
Jesus’ explanation in that Scripture tells us about a Canaanite woman who approaches Jesus Christ to heal her demon-possessed daughter. But Jesus was silent until his disciples came to urge him to heal her, so that she could be sent away. Yet Jesus answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” (Matthew 15:22-24)
The woman later came and knelt before Jesus and begged for His Healing. What is perplexing is Jesus’ seemingly cold remark to the woman. He said to her, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it the dogs.” (Matthew 15:25-26)
But instead of getting offended, the woman admitted that she was a dog that eats the crumbs that fall from their master’s table. And hearing her response, Jesus applauded her faith and granted her request. (Matthew 15:27-28)
There are a lot of lessons from this scripture but where am going really is that there is a food meant for the children and also there is a food meant for the dog. It is the food of the children that dogs are suppose to crave for, and not the other way round.
But the unfortunate is happening in our days, the children are now chasing after the dog food instead of the dog to chase after their own food.
Why does Jesus use dog in the first place and surprisingly the woman accepted? A key character of why we can keep dogs as pets is because they are good followers that obey and follow their masters. The Canaanite woman was referred to as a dog, because she was a follower of other gods.
So what is the food of the dogs that the children are running after today? We that suppose to be the light and salt of world! We that carry God on our inside… What is really happening?
God is challenging us to start living up to our responsibility! Stop chasing after the dog’s s food! Let them beg us for bread the way that Canaanite woman begged Jesus for even crumbs of bread!
