Still Valuable

2Corinthians 4:16 “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.”

Assume that you have a dollar bill at hand. If it were a new bill, would it be of more value in your hand than an old one in another’s hand? Of course not! Why? Because a denomination of a currency, no matter the look, carries purchasing value to get a service or product.

We however live in a world where people are taught to put up a facade to cover up for flaws; a camouflage to seal of the emptiness. You understand that, just like the dollar bill, the value is not an outward presentation of who you are, but an inward expression of what you carry.

The outer man is decaying through the trials of life, while the inner man is being strengthened through the same trials.

Value is a response of input worth, not an expression of supposed worth.

You might not look like it today, and just like Paul in the passage above, you might look like a failure at the present, but you understand that if you are truly working at it, your value is on your inside and one of these days, you’d see it bursting forth for the world to see.

The idea then is this; invest in your Spirit, feed your mind, increase your worth, because believe me, you are valuable despite what the present situation says. See yourself through the eyes of God!
